National Water Plan (2026–2035) Published in the Official Gazette
Türkiye's National Water Plan (2026–2035) was approved by Presidential decree and published in the Official Gazette on March 14, 2026. Comprising 8 objectives, 31 strategies, and 141 actions, the plan sets out a climate-adaptive, basin-level integrated water management roadmap.

The National Water Plan (2026–2035), approved by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, was published in the Official Gazette (Issue 33196, dated March 14, 2026). Prepared under the coordination of the General Directorate of Water Management within the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, the plan represents Türkiye's highest-level strategic document for water resource governance.
The plan comprises 8 objectives, 31 strategies, and 141 actions aimed at ensuring efficient water use in light of climate change impacts, reducing pollutant pressures, improving water quality, and strengthening water and wastewater infrastructure. Key priorities include increasing agricultural irrigation efficiency, expanding the reuse of treated wastewater, deploying digital water infrastructure and smart management systems, and reinforcing basin-level Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM).
